Privacy Policy

PayTrack is a personal work-log and salary tracking application. You can use the app fully without signing in — all your data stays on your device in that case. If you choose to sign in with Google, your data is securely backed up and synced across your devices using Google's cloud services.

PayTrack includes an optional Geofence Beacon feature designed to detect when you enter or leave your designated workplace. This policy explains how location data is accessed, processed, and safeguarded:

• Specific Permissions Accessed:
  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Used to determine your physical device coordinates relative to your employer's site radius.
  • ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION: Used to monitor geofence entry and exit events while the app is running in the background or closed.
• Usage & Purpose: Location data is used strictly to trigger timely clock-in and clock-out alerts upon arrival or departure, record precise on-site work durations, and prevent unlogged shift earnings.
• 100% On-Device Local Processing: All geofence boundary calculations are executed solely on your physical device. PayTrack never transmits, uploads, tracks, rents, or sells your real-time GPS coordinates or location history to our servers, advertising networks, or third-party brokers.
• User Opt-Out & Control: Geofencing is completely optional. You may enable or disable Geofence Beacon anytime in Settings > Geofence Beacon, or revoke location permissions via your operating system settings (Android Settings > Apps > PayTrack > Permissions). PayTrack remains fully usable with manual shift logging.

2.1 Account Information (Optional — only if you sign in)

If you choose to use Google Sign-In, we collect:

• Your Google email address (used as your unique identifier)
• Your Google User ID (via Firebase Authentication)
• Your display name and profile picture (provided by Google, used for display purposes only)

Sign-in is entirely optional. The app is fully functional without an account.

2.2 Work & Financial Data (Only if signed in and sync is enabled)

To provide real-time sync across your devices, data is stored in Firebase Firestore — a cloud database managed under our Firebase project (or kept strictly in local Hive storage if offline):

Work Days (workDays collection):

• Date, start time, end time, break duration
• Calculated hours, gross pay, net pay, deductions
• Tax, Social Security (SSC/NI) calculations
• Bonus/tip amounts, one-time deductions, rate overrides
• Personal notes and note image references
• Leave time segments (partial leave type and duration)
• Associated job profile ID

Leave Entries (leaveEntries collection):

• Date and leave type (paid, unpaid, sick)
• Notes and pay override amount

Salary Settings (settings collection):

• Hourly rate, payment type (hourly / daily / per job)
• Tax configuration (period, filing status, rates)
• Deduction rules and pay period settings
• Company name(s) and associated configurations

Job Profiles (jobs collection):

• Job profile name and associated salary settings
• Archive status

Financial Goals (goals collection):

• Goal title, target amount, current saved amount
• Completion status and creation date

2.3 Photos & Receipts

Note images and receipts attached to work logs are stored in a hidden AppData folder within your personal Google Drive — not in our Firestore database. These files are accessible only to you and are never read by our servers.

2.4 Notifications

The app may send local notifications to remind you to log working hours or shift alerts. These notifications are processed entirely on-device, and no notification data is transmitted externally.

2.5 In-App Subscriptions

Purchase statuses (such as PayTrack Pro) are handled securely via Google Play Billing and verified with RevenueCat. We never collect, process, or store credit card numbers or financial payment credentials.

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties.
• All data transmissions are encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS protocols, as provided by Firebase and the Google Drive API.
• Firestore data is secured by Firebase Security Rules, restricting access strictly to the authenticated user.
• We do not have employees or third parties who access your individual work hours or financial data.

PayTrack is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
